The Loan Agency Tax Analyst works in the Loan Agency department and is responsible for validating all tax reporting data provided by payees, reconciling, preparing, delivering, and filing year-end tax forms as well assist team members with various duties, and any required or requested reporting, answering inquiries, and performing other related tasks. Serve as a contact for clients, lenders and both internal and external service partners. Manage daily administration of assigned tasks in a fast-paced setting, requiring exceptional customer service skills and a constant awareness of internal controls and risk management.

This is a hybrid position with in-person requirements in Colorado.

The salary range for this position is between $64,500 - $78,250, depending on level of experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Receive, validate, and route individual tax documents appropriately.

- Review & validate deal-level tax reporting data throughout the year to reconcile, generate, deliver, and file year-end tax forms.

- Collaborate with team to complete quarterly payment reconciliation for annual tax reporting.

- Generate required and requested reports for internal and external parties related to tax reporting data or payments.

- Respond to inquiries related to tax documents, tax reporting and payments.

- Comprehend internal processes and procedures while maintaining internal controls.

- Provide excellent customer service to all clients and parties, both internal and external, to ensure all have an exceptional experience.

- Research and resolve issues related to administration and client service in connection with assigned tasks.

- Use judgement, interpretation and problem-solving to understand loan related information.

- Professionally communicate and collaborate with internal groups and external clients by phone and email.

- Perform data entry in tax database, banking platforms, loan system and Microsoft Excel.

- Provide coverage and support to the team, when needed.

- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

REQUIRED Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or operations (or commensurate work experience) required.

- 2-5 years of work experience in finance, loan agency or bank operations.

- Understanding of US tax forms (i.e. W-9, W-8BEN-E, W-8IMY, W-8ECI, etc) and general knowledge of 1099 and 1042 filings.

- Understanding of syndicated and bilateral loans preferred.

- Ability to independently research, analyze and resolve complex problems and quickly learn new concepts.

- Strong drive to achieve results and the ability to self-motivate in the face of multiple priorities while managing time efficiently.

- Deadline-driven and highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills, good judgement and intuition, and the ability to communicate with external and internal parties in a responsive, friendly, professional, and proactive approach.

- Proven ability to collaborate with management and team members to align goals and complete all tasks.

- Demonstrate integrity in day-to-day administration of duties and all interactions with internal and external parties.

- Experience with Microsoft 365 Business and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

- High level of proficiency with computers and learning new software.

- Positive attitude, self-motivated, collaborative

Additional Requirements:

- Must be able to work on-site in Denver or Minneapolis in a hybrid schedule.

- Work demands may require more than 40 hours a week.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
