Minimum Hiring Annual Salary: $53,040.00 Maximum Hiring Annual Salary: $55,692.00 To attain the maximum annual salary, employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus: 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician II provides aircraft maintenance in support of Aims Community College’s Aviation Department in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations/guidance as they pertain to aircraft airworthiness, in support of the Aviation Department, in the Public Safety, Education, and Transportation Division and located at Northern Colorado Regional Airport in Loveland, Colorado. The staff member will conduct their assignments and co-curricular college activities in a manner consistent with the philosophy and purposes of Aims Community College as stated in the school catalog and be a part of scholarly and creative activities (professional development) and service to the college. This position will provide oversight to ensure the all duties & responsibilities listed in this document are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. This position reports to the Director, Aircraft Maintenance. Aircraft Maintenance: Troubleshooting of aircraft system discrepancies. Performing required inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance (scheduled or unscheduled) on aircraft and associated aircraft appliances in accordance with established schedules and as directed. Providing on-call aircraft and flight crew support, on rotating basis. Providing local aircraft departure and arrival support – preflight checks, post-flight checks, ramp positioning, as well as oversee line service and fueling processes. Testing, adjustments, and repairs on aircraft and subsystems using various test equipment, technical diagrams, maintenance manuals, and tooling. Researching and investigating all possible solutions to engine, airframe, and associated appliance malfunctions. Replacement of parts such as LRUs, avionics, hydraulic, fuel, and other aircraft system components. Exercising sound judgment and experience to accomplish a variety of complicated tasks. Produce quality and detailed workmanship. Compose and sign off aircraft logbook entries and records. Tracking time and/or service-limited parts aircraft appliances. Perform aircraft tug maintenance as required. Component Management: Testing, adjustments, and repairs on aircraft and subsystems using various test equipment, technical diagrams, maintenance manuals, and tooling. Researching and investigating all possible solutions to engine, airframe, and associated appliance malfunctions. Replacement of parts such as LRUs, avionics, hydraulic, fuel, and other aircraft system components. Exercising sound judgment and experience to accomplish a variety of complicated tasks. General Support: Assisting in maintaining all ground support equipment. Assisting with hangar maintenance and housekeeping. Assisting with maintaining aircraft cleanliness. Other Duties as Assigned Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year of operational aircraft maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate This position requires the use of a company vehicle and/or personal vehicle for business travel. The selected candidate must successfully pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance. Must be able to pass a pre-employment post-offer urine analysis. A pre-employment post-offer physical evaluation will be required of the selected candidate. Required Licenses and/or Certifications: FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Aviation, Engineering, Education, or another related field; plus, Two (2) years operational aircraft maintenance experience. Aircraft Mechanics who hold an Inspection Authorization. High level of trade specific computer skills. Experience in risk management and mitigation.
