The Research Coordinator is responsible for performing complex administrative and managerial functions that require the use of independent judgment and discretion. This position will provide primary support to the Vice President of Research and interact with heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) manufacturers and researchers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scheduling, project coordination, agenda preparation, contract management, government reporting preparation and composition of correspondence.

Educational Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management/administration, project management, or equivalent years of experience in a related field

Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum two years of experience performing the role of an Administrative Assistant, coordinator, or similar role.
  • One or more years of experience in research project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work constructively with all levels of internal management, staff, committee members, and external customers.
  • Ability to perform graphic or statistical analysis of data.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple assignments.
  • Excellent and proper business writing skills and the ability to conduct clear and convincing oral presentations to individuals and/or groups. Ability to effectively listen and clarify information as needed.

AHRI has an opening for a Research Coordinator reporting to our Arlington, Virginia office. The Research Coordinator is responsible for performing complex administrative and managerial functions that require the use of independent judgment and discretion.
