Air General, a national cargo handling company, is looking for an experienced full-time Office Supervisor for our Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUB) location. Required skills include: customer service, Air Cargo experience, preferably both international and domestic, and proven leadership skills. Must be able to work in the cargo operation on behalf of the airlines that we are contracted with; and work with the station manager to oversee the day to day operational needs to lead the employees to achieve successful performance. - Prepare statistics and reports, as required by customer and managers, and distribute to all relevant parties. Maintain logs, files, and statistics as required.
- Provide details about shipments or handling incidents, which may result in future claims.
- Keep track of ULD stock, inventory reports, and send appropriate messages as required.
- Liaise closely with Top Airline Account Coordinators.
- Conduct spot checks on all office related performance.
- Ensure DRP entries are correct.
- Review staff performance and provide OJT as necessary.
- Ensure all customers are provided with information concerning the status of their shipments.
- Review and handle all messages requiring immediate responses or special handling. Liaise with manager as required.
- Ensure customer funds are deposited regularly, in accordance with customer requirements.
- Survey all work and office areas for neat, clean, and orderly conditions, including all back offices. Areas must be free of debris and any other work safety hazards.
- Ensure all safety standards are adhered to and all security procedures are complied with.
- Check daily briefings and ensure all staff are briefed.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the managers.
- College degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
- 2 years of continuous office and/or warehouse experience.
- Supervisor experience.
- PC proficiency (MS Office applications).
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must possess a valid Drivers License.
- Must be able to obtain valid airport I.D. badge.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift up to 70 pounds.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
- Must be available to work varied shifts, including nights, and occasionally on weekends, and holidays.
