THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1367000 and is part of the IL 126, National Guard.
Qualifications:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence,
Military Grades: Enlisted - Minimum Rank E3 - Maximum Rank E5
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess the experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-10 Level - MUSTpossess the specialized experience which includes 18 months experience or training which provides a knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; Experience in fabricating fuel, oil and vacuum hose lines; Experience in servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems; Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts; Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedies; Experience in repairing, rebuilding and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems; Experience in mechanical repairs using hand tools and test equipment; Experience that demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications and publications. WG-08 Level - MUST possess the specialized experience or training which includes 12 months experience or training that provides a knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; Experience in fabricating fuel, oil and vacuum hose lines; Experience in servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems; Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts; Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedies; Experience in servicing, maintaining, disassembling, assembling and repairing pneudraulic ground equipment; Experience using hand tools and test equipment; Experience that demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications and publications. WG-05 Level - MUST possess the specialized experience or training which includes 6 months experience or training which demonstrates the ability to learn basic electrical and mechanical principles; Experience which demonstrates the ability to learn procedures used to jack and perform hydraulic and pneumatic systems check; Experience in identifying basic malfunctions when source of trouble is easily located by appearance, sound, or response; Experience which demonstrates the ability to learn procedures used to service, maintain, disassemble, assemble and repair pneudraulic ground equipment; Experience using various hand tools; Experience which demonstrated the ability to follow written instructions.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Responsibilities:
As a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC (TITLE 32), WG-8268-5/8/10, you will perform on- and/or off-equipment maintenance on assigned aircraft pneudraulic systems, components and related aerospace ground equipment.Full Time
