Position Summary: Performs activities engaged in building, setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining of machinery and equipment. Able to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, hydraulic, and PLC issues.
Primary Accountabilities:
Degree/ Certification: Prefer Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One of the following or combination strongly preferred: Journeyman Electrician or Certified Maintenance Professional or other applicable certified field.
Technical Skills: Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming. Ability to read electrical drawings and trace down electrical issues on industrial equipment. Experience with steel fabrication and MIG welding strongly preferred.
Computer Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access (MPS Data Base).
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
