Role Description
What you’ll do
Business Development:
· Generate and Increase industrial market sales volume with new Aires distribution accounts by working with the Aires Management team to establish & implement sales strategies & marketing programs focused on achieving the company budget
· Create processes to benchmark customer value, competitive activities, & competitive comparisons
Distributor Development:
· Identify, recruit & train distributors to provide improved & complete geographic coverage with assigned territory (Northeast Region in the USA)
· Actively seek new industrial applications for Aires products with distributor personnel.
· Ensure all sales leads are properly used by distributors
· Assist distributor personnel with presentations at existing & potential new customer sites by developing specifications & proposals as required
· Strengthen distributor personnel sales & application skills through continued coaching & formal product & sales training along with staff succession plans
· Maintain current log of significant quotations of each distributor w/in territory & submit timely won-loss reports targeted an improving future sales success
Forecasting:
· Actively participate in the development of sales forecasts with distributors as an aid to sales operations staff in planning forward stocking levels
· Manage rolling business plan with Aire's distributors with input to the company management team for overall business plan completion.
Performance Communication:
· Assist Aires Management to assess & communicate our business, product, and territorial sales performance.
· Submit special reports regarding the activity in assigned territory, acceptance/rejection of the products & competitive conditions beneficial to company operations & planning.
Marketing Support:
Assist & support Aires Management for the formation of new marketing materials.
What you’ll need
· 3 years of Outside Sales experience
· Preferably compressed air market or related industrial market experience
· Strong communication skills & professional presentation skills (client-facing role)
· Ability to build & maintain relationships over time.
· Market research & analysis skills
· Time management & ability to prioritize time-sensitive deadlines
· Highly organized & high attention to detail
· Creative marketing style & application of market research to create an outreach strategy.
· Agile, flexible, entrepreneurial spirit as we face challenges & roadblocks
· Project management skills - the ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects simultaneously
· Willing to speak up with new ideas, suggestions, solutions, challenges, and feedback
