How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Position Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Location: Kapolei, HI
Target Base Salary Range: $90k - 110k (DOE)
The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will implement policies and procedures to minimize and eliminate injury and illness to employees and ensure the company remains in compliance with regulatory agencies such as but not limited to OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc. Able to inspect and provide guidance on findings in the workplace that will remove hazards from processes. The incumbent will also assist other regional business unit stakeholders (as needed) with the execution of the company's goals, policies, and programs.
  • Manage all incidents (injuries, accidents, near misses etc.) from start to finish, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation, utilizing root cause analysis to determine true incident causation to formulate corrective and preventive actions, working with peers and area management to implement corrections/changes to avoid reoccurrence.
  • Formulates general environmental and safety policies and procedures to be followed by company or plant personnel in compliance with local, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules that will assist in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs by making suggestions for corrective actions in deficiencies as a result inspections.
  • Conduct environmental and safety inspections and create reports on findings with the ability to support them to bring that location into compliance. Inspections include but are not limited to Safety, Environmental, Security, RMP, PSM and Flammable inspections.
  • Conduct safety training and lead meetings in front of small and large groups.
  • Ability to interact with many levels of the organization with the appropriate tone.
  • Thoroughly Investigate all injuries, accidents and near misses.
  • Develop and implement safety programs that encourage and promote safety.
  • Able to stop unsafe acts from occurring and speaking to obtain buy-in.
  • Enforcing environmental and safety regulations (internal and external)
  • Monitoring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Participate on the local AERO team.
Are you a MATCH?
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field (preferred).
  • Five years of related experience is preferred but no less than 3 years in related Environmental Health and Safety fields.
  • Desired but not required credentials related to Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sustainability and or Safety such as AEP, ASP, CSP, CHST, NFPA etc.
  • Other desired instructor led credentials: TapRoot Investigation, CPR/First Aid, Forklift/Powered Industrial Trucks, HazWoper, OSHA 500/501 etc.
