Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in Corpus Christi, TX, for an initial 6 month assignment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and design electrical systems for refinery operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Create and update electrical schematics, drawings, and documentation.

Power Systems Management:

• Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of power distribution systems.
• Conduct load flow studies, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies.
• Ensure the reliability and efficiency of power systems.

Project Management:

• Lead and participate in engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Prepare project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, mechanical engineers, and operations staff.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis of electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all electrical systems and equipment comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Participate in safety audits and inspections.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within a refinery or similar industrial environment.
• Proven experience with power systems design and maintenance.
• Proficient in electrical design software and CAD tools
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE).
