Summary:The CNC Machinists are responsible for the usage of various mills and lathes to manufacture a variety of different parts/tools to meet production schedule needs. Duties and Responsibilities: Utilize measuring equipment used in the industry such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge and other measuring equipment needed to complete work.Sets up and operates all available machine tools and performs progressive machining operations on work involving very close tolerances or unusual requirements. Changes cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed.Ensures product quality to meet and customer specifications. Works in conjunction with the CNC Programmers to establish CNC tool setups and validate CNC programs for use on 3 and/or 5 axis CNC machines.Obtains all necessary tooling, correct drawings and any special instructions.Sets up and understands the CNC program and operate CNC mills.Detects and reports faulty machine operation, defective material and equipment, drawing discrepancies, and other unusual conditions to the CNC Machinist Leader.Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience:High School Diploma or GED.Three to five years of related experience and/or training. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:This position may require a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
