Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport asphalt and other materials.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to various job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working condition.
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in the asphalt or construction industry.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Physical ability to load and unload materials as necessary.
