Akkodis is seeking a Buyer for a contract-to-hire position with a client in Denton, TX. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with 2 years of Buying/Supply Chain experience in retail, manufacturing, or aerospace. Proficient in Excel, including Pivot tables and VLOOKUP, with a demonstrated history of vendor management and strong negotiation skills. Must be able to assertively manage tight deadlines with vendors.

Pay range: $35 - $40/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. )

Must haves:

• 2 years of Buying/Supply Chain exp
• Retail, manufacturing, or aerospace experience.
• Must have good Excel skills - proven to work with/create Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and work with data- will need to be showcased in the resume specifically where they used Excel in this way.
• Previously worked closely with Vendors.
• Must have strong negotiation skills and showcase in the resume that they did this as part of their role.
• Must be able to push back to vendor if needed when deadlines are tight.

Job Description

# Execute the tactical procurement process, including issuing purchase orders, managing supplier communications, and tracking order status to ensure on-time delivery.

# Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, program management, production, logistics, and quality control, to ensure alignment on procurement requirements and resolve any issues that may arise.

# Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.

# Collaborate with the strategic sourcing team to support strategic initiatives and contribute to long-term supplier relationship development.
