Position Overview:

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team, contributing to the development of electrical systems for healthcare, higher education, and commercial building projects. In this role, you will be a key player in the design and execution of electrical systems, ensuring they meet project budgets, client goals, and coordination standards across all related disciplines. Your responsibilities will also include staying abreast of industry advancements, engaging in professional development, and building relationships within the local engineering community. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the design and quality control efforts for assigned projects, including performing detailed electrical system calculations and creating precise layouts.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and coordination of electrical designs within broader project frameworks.
  • Engineering Excellence: Uphold and promote best practices in engineering methodologies, ensuring all designs meet the highest industry standards.
  • Design Documentation: Oversee and actively contribute to the creation of comprehensive design documents, from initial concept through to detailed design, for new constructions, renovations, and facility expansions.
  • Project Specifications: Develop clear and thorough project specifications, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Cost Optimization: Investigate and implement innovative strategies to enhance project cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in project coordination meetings with clients and stakeholders, serving as a key representative for electrical engineering considerations.
  • Construction Administration: Provide oversight during construction, including conducting site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to junior electrical designers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring consistent design quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist the director in executing quality assurance reviews for projects, ensuring all deliverables meet the required standards.

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical background in electrical engineering, particularly in designing systems for healthcare, education, and commercial facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead design efforts and collaborate effectively across disciplines.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design software and tools.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to clients and team members.
