Akkodis is Hiring a Network Specialist Near Des Moines, IA

Akkodis is seeking a Network Specialist for a full-time position with one of our direct clients based in Cedar Rapids, IA / Des Moines, IA (Onsite).

Salary Range: $55k-70k/annum 8% BONUS Quarterly Unlimited PTO (The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

About the Role: We are seeking highly technical individuals with 3 years of experience who can hit the ground running. The role involves general desktop support with an entry into networking.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop support for onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Manage Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
  • Utilize basic PowerShell skills
  • Handle generalist network tasks, such as understanding DHCP and DNS
  • Troubleshoot scenarios like users being unable to reach websites, using Windows commands
  • Image state and provision systems
  • Resolve level 1 tickets for managed service network/telephony resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CMNO
  • Experience in managed services is a plus

Project Scope/Details:

  • Support customers with technical onboarding/offboarding
  • Address network-related issues and provide telephony support
  • Engage in continuous learning and development through hands-on experience in the office
