About The Role:
To provide medical care, treatment, consultation, and case management for injured and ill employees. To ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of our workforce and to reduce the frequency of lost time incidents due to injury and illness and work with both the business and external medical providers to return employees to work promptly following an occupational disease or injury.
Key Accountabilities
Monitor and/or assess working practices by performing physical examinations and conducting Respiratory Fit testing (RFT) to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) legislation. Work with business and external medical providers to return employees to work promptly following an occupational illness or injury. Collate information and perform regular analysis to ensure more senior team members have accurate and up-to-date information to inform external regulators (e.g., DOT, Hearing Conservation, etc.) as required. Evaluate employee compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety standards and regulations and ensure the team complies with safety standards, policies, and processes to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risk for all staff. Manage the on-site health office and provide walk-in treatment and care as needed. Perform pre-employment physical exams on all new employees and be responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and case management of occupational injuries (acute and chronic care) to ensure employees' ongoing well-being and reduce absence frequency. Conduct drug and alcohol testing i.e. pre-employment, random, reasonable cause to adhere to organizational policy. Strong interpersonal skills are required to provide care for injured and ill employees. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders and external medical providers to share best practices and understand business decisions.
Qualifications
B.S Nursing or other discipline that qualifies for PA Master's Program and a fully qualified
MSN Nurse Practitioner or Master of Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science, or Medical Science
Board Certification - American Nurse Credentialing Center or NCCPA-Certified and board certification.
