Akkodis is seeking an Accountantfor a 6-month possible contract to perm position with a client located in St. Louis, MO (Also open to Minneapolis, MN, and St. Paul, MN). Ideally looking for a candidate with knowledge of GAAP/accounting/reporting, proficiency in Excel, and someone who can work independently. Please share your updated copy of your resume to apply.

Pay Range: $42/hour - $47/hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Skills:

• Previous accounting experience and knowledge of GAAP is a must.
• Experience in journal entries or prepared financial statements is also something preferable.
• Working experience in public accounting background is strongly preferred.
• A strong understanding of Excel is something else that is required.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains adequate accounting and control for various accounting functions.
• Prepares journal entries.
• Assists with regulatory reporting as needed.
• Prepares financial statements and reports.
• Maintains and supports the development of automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures.
• Prepares and develops reports for management and/or regulatory authorities.
• Responds to inquiries regarding accounting policies, procedures, and issues from management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.
