Akkodis is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer for a Direct Hire (FTE) position, and this is an Onsite role in Omaha, NE. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in Cobol, Mainframe, JCL, and SQL .

Salary Range: $100K-$135K per annum. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Description

Senior Level- 5 years’ experience in full lifecycle system analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise business solutions using Assembler, Cobol, and SQL.

Job Requirements

• Experience must include analysis, design, and code for an entire project.
• Ability to determine and correct errors in existing programs.
• May be on call to correct nightly production programs.
• For mainframe work, experience with JCL, IBM utilities, common MVS file structures, and rational data structures.
• Trains, coaches, and mentors team members.

Preferred

• Experience with Visual Basic
• Knowledge of insurance applications (Claims, Accident & Health, Life, Marketing, etc.)
• Previous Insurance Industry experience

Project Scope/Details/Responsibilities

• This role will design, develop, test, and maintain software in accordance with adopted standards for integration into larger subsystems.
