Position Title: Tableau Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data visualization tools using Tableau software. Your expertise will be crucial in transforming complex data into insightful and interactive dashboards and reports that support our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server and be skilled in data modeling and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Visualization Development:
• Design, construct, and maintain advanced data visualizations using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization.
• Utilize Tableau’s features to create visually compelling and easy-to-understand data representations that drive decision-making.
• Data Modeling and Integration:
• Perform data modeling to integrate and harmonize data from multiple sources, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of visualizations.
• Collaborate with data analysts and business users to understand their needs and translate them into effective Tableau solutions.
• Leverage your knowledge of database systems to optimize data flows and ensure efficient data processing and querying.
• Tableau Environment Management:
• Administer and manage Tableau development and production environments, focusing on security and performance optimization.
• Conduct regular maintenance and updates to Tableau Server to ensure a stable and secure environment.
• Monitor system performance and implement tuning and optimization techniques to enhance user experience.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and deliver tailored Tableau solutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users to help them maximize the value of Tableau tools.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Tableau dashboards, data models, and processes.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience in the industry may be considered.
• Experience and Skills:
• Advanced proficiency with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server is required.
• Strong experience in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.
• Skilled in data modeling, with the ability to integrate data from multiple sources and create coherent, meaningful visualizations.
• Hands-on experience in managing Tableau environments, including security configurations and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of SQL and other database query languages is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for translating data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
