Title - Learning Designer

Location - New York NY (Hybrid - Tues, Wed and Thu Onsite, Mon & Fri remote)

Duration - 6 Months

Project Overview:

This project involves working with the education team to improve the quality and evaluation of upcoming features.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Consult with education product teams on product design focused on enhancing teaching experiences backed by learning sciences research
• Evaluate the quality of education products and provide recommendations from an educators’ perspective
• Requirements: Experience in successfully designing, developing, delivering and improving high-quality K12 edtech products. Excellent communication, facilitation skills, and creative problem-solving skills.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

• Evaluate education products using standard templates
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to refine genAI outputs, including prompt engineering
• Assess improvements to the product based on rapid iteration cycles

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

• 4 years K12 educator / tutoring experience in multiple K12 subjects, either in-person or online
• College degree or equivalent in education, instructional design, computer science, or related field
• Prompt engineering using any GenAI tool for education scenarios
• Fluency with GSuite products, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications: 

• Experience teaching educators (e.g. leading teacher professional development sessions at multiple grade levels)
• Advanced education in pedagogical principles and learning sciences 
• Consulting with education technology products
