Distribution Coordinator-AKRONThe Distribution Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include answering incoming calls; enter and process orders through a web based system; greet and interact daily with network partners in our eight county service territory; coordinate and track network partner distribution appointments; provide an outstanding customer experience; work directly with the Distribution Office team to safeguard and promote the Foodbank’s commitment to service and safety. A high degree of professionalism, courtesy, communication skills, organization, punctuality and dependability is essential for success in this position. We distribute food to feed people and we advocate, engage, and convene our community in the fight to end hunger. Job Responsibilities:
Welcome, direct, and assist network partners upon arrival to the Foodbank.
Provide timely and accurate information to network partners regarding order status and product requests.
Track appointments via the appointment software program.
Enter and process orders into the Foodbank system - online, phone and voice mail.
Audit orders daily for accuracy.
Work closely with the Distribution Office and Warehouse team to resolve network partner disputes.
Escalate order issues and/or questions to leadership for resolution.
Provide timely feedback to the Foodbank regarding service failures or network partner concerns.
Partner with the Warehouse team to exceed agency service expectations.
Submit weekly/monthly poundage reports to select donors.
Assist with data entry in any and all related roles in the Distribution Office.
Update the daily menu and ensure accuracy.
Serve as backup for various roles and responsibilities in the Distirbution Office.
Ensure Distribution Office area is clean, free of safety hazards; computers are functioning properly and shut down at the end of the workday.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Minimum High School Diploma, some college preferred
Experience: 1-3 years in a customer service role
Must be able to follow all American Institute of Baking, Feeding America, Food and Drug Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, Occupational Safety Hazard Administration, and Foodbank (standard operating procedures and employee handbook) safety regulations
Commitment to outstanding customer service
Ability to resolve conflict in a positive way
Ability to problem solve
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively and patiently with a diverse group of individuals, including Foodbank staff and network partners
High level of interpersonal skills is required
Client relationship building skills is required
Ability to produce quality work with minimal supervision
Must have basic computer experience in MS Office applications and Outlook
Proficiency in keyboarding (e.g., talking, listening, and typing simultaneously)
Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
