Start your Voyage – Apply Now Get To Know The Opportunity Voya US is seeking a skilled Application Support Consultant with expertise in Finance and Retirement based systems where the tech stack includes .Net, Azure Cloud, Linux, SQL and Shell Scripting. You won't always be actively writing code everyday but instead supporting a critical application portfolio for business partners who rely on their applications and the data they provide. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, develop, and support software solutions that meet our business needs. You will be a key player supporting the application from a development, testing, and production support perspective. The Contributions You'll Make Manages the day-to-day operations of financial application portfolio (e.g. application maintenance, stability, innovation, development, incident, change & problem management). Maintain clear and organized documentation of software code, specifications, and user manuals. Manage defect tracking system and resolve all issues and prepare update for systems. Monitor everyday activities of system and provide require support. Provide Production Support, monitor transmission issues/abends and resolve them with minimal assistance. Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and making it happen. Work on Incident, Service Requests and Changes to execute them within SLA. Ensures proper coordination of software application design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of work requests and issue resolution. Provides technical and application portfolio risk management consulting leadership to managers with accountability for the technical delivery of work by the developers. Ensure delivery and planning of large application maintenance and currency efforts in partnership with the supplier and project management Coordinates with the Application Development Project team to transition services and support to the application maintenance transition activities. Partner with architects and shared services teams to ensure Voya standards, software development practices, and compliant designs are met. Review support documentation for Operational IT governance and ensure it is up to standard. Identify opportunities for new services, continuous improvement and/or cost reduction and manage related change requests. Knowledge & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a directly related field, Master’s Degree preferred. Equivalent Work experience can be substituted Eight years of software engineering and development or Operations, including five years as an influencer or in technical leadership Ability to embrace, adapt and lead through change, fosters effective partnerships, and drive effective collaboration with peers and vendor resources. Deep experience in .Net technologies Experience as an Azure developer creating and deploying apps into that environment SQL experience Expertise in new computing architectures and implementation of networked computing structures Demonstrated expertise working across multiple platforms/technologies Enterprise level communication experience and working with extended teams Strong Problem Solving skills Ability to effectively communicate in both technical and business terms Ability to embrace, adapt and lead through change, foster effective partnerships, and drive effective collaboration with peers and vendor resources. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
