Alabama State Department of Education is Hiring a Primary Grade Supervising Teacher Near Montgomery, AL
The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Primary Grade, Supervising Teacher at Kilby Laboratory School. This position is an elementary teacher in the primary grades, teaching all subjects to one class. In addition to working with elementary students, the teacher will also supervise student interns, accommodate clinical experiences in the classroom, conduct classroom research, serve on committees, and participate in other job related activities. The successful candidate must have a clear understanding of the Alabama Reading Initiative, Alabama Math, Science and Technology Initiative, College and Career Ready Standards, and be committed to implementing innovative practice. Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education is required; Three or more years of teaching experience in grades K-6 is preferred; National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification is preferred; Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree is preferred; Three years of teaching experience in grades P-3 is preferred; STEM instructional experience is preferred; and a Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate in elementary or early childhood education, or the ability to obtain such through reciprocity, is required.
