Job Description:

The Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA) reports to the CEO. The Licensed Childcare Administrator (LCCA) is responsible for the overall supervision and administration of resident care while ensuring compliance with Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Minimum State requirements for General Residential Operations (GRO) settings. The LCCA oversees daily operations, implements programs and services, ensures staff adherence to policies and procedures, and promotes a safe and nurturing environment for residents

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensuring that the operation complies with applicable rules of this chapter, Chapter 42 of the Human Resources Code, Chapter 745 of this title (relating to Licensing), and other applicable laws
  • Directly supervises Direct Care Staff
  • Prepares work schedules, approves time and attendance and overtime for Direct Care staff
  • Facilitates monthly staff meetings
  • Coordinates the communication for the entire Treatment Team
  • Acts as the primary liaison with all referring agencies.
  • Manages intake, referral, and discharge processes for the operation
  • Reports immediately any suspected incident of abuse/neglect/exploitation of a child in care to the Child Abuse Hotline
  • Facilitates pre-service and in service training for employees
  • Oversees the daily office management and maintenance
  • Reviews records for compliance
  • Provides on-going supervision for all children placed
  • In charge of approving all treatment plans and treatment plan updates
  • Acts as a positive role model in professionalism, manners, language, and tone of voice to provide the best example of appropriate behavior for children, parents, staff, and others
  • Develop and maintain positive and strong working relationships with the Foster Care and Adoption teams and foster care parents and families, while always maintaining professional and ethical boundaries

Experience:

  • Social Services: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Residential childcare / GRO: 1 year (Required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as Licensed Child Care Administrator
  • Experience with children diagnosed with emotional, intellectual, and developmental disabilities (Preferred)

Education:

  • BS/MS Social Sciences, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences

License/Certification:

  • Texas Licensed Child-Care Administrator (Required)

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed and in good standing as a LCCA with the State of Texas
  • A current and valid Childcare Administrator License
  • A current and valid CPI certification.
  • Administration and Management experience required.
  • 2-5 years of experience working with adolescents.
  • Basic knowledge regarding therapeutic communication and psychiatric recovery and rehabilitation skills.
  • Eligible as determined by the Department of Family Protective Services and Human Health Service Commission
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Cleared criminal background check including FBI fingerprinting
  • Cleared TB test results (current within 12 months prior to employment)
  • Cleared drug screen
  • Proof of valid Texas Driver's License (Type C)

Benefits:

Pay: $60,000 to $75,000
