POSITION PURPOSE
This position performs a variety of mechanical maintenance functions, which encompass all trades and disciplines. The HVAC Technician maintains District heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems to meet Federal and State codes and requirements.
Additional responsibilities will include; new equipment installation to replace existing apparatuses, part orders, and troubleshooting HVAC equipment. The technician will maintain computerized building automation systems, electrical installations, electrical reports, and other mechanical related work as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS | |
PHYSICAL DEMANDS | Work is considered heavy physical work requiring the exertion of up to 100 pounds of force. Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment, tools, and machinery. Must be physically able to operate motor vehicles, including light pickup and dump trucks. Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires the ability to climb and maneuver on ladders, scaffolding, and/or in tight spaces. |
WORK ENVIRONMENT | Employees in this position are required to work in indoor and outdoor environments, and come into direct contact with ABSS staff, students and the public. |
