NOTICE OF VACANCY Education Assistant - Kindergarten Desert Star Elementary School Date of Notice: March 17, 2023 Classified Position - Assistant Vacancy #: 16-126 / 10563 . Education and Experience Requirements:

Salary: Nine months (185 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the Educational Assistant Salary Schedule. The work calendar is subject to change based on any Board approved revisions that may or may not be Permanent.

Conditions of Employment: Ability to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and, upon an offer of employment, complete an Employee’s Statement of Health and submit to a functional capacity evaluation at the District’s expense to determine ability to perform job-related functions and fitness for duty. Any offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of all background, criminal, and reference investigations. . - Minimum of 48 college credits preferred
- Ability to obtain Level III Assistant licensure (appropriate college credits or pass test for licensure)
- Computer – data entry/word processing skills preferable
- Experience working with students preferable
- Knowledge of spelling and proper grammar
- Ability to read and interpret routine information
- Ability to operate audio visual equipment and office machines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information and records
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with students, parent/guardians, staff, and supervisors/administrators
