ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the efficiency of the machine and timely completion of order
- Responsible for all aspects of the presses mechanical and computer systems including data entry, as well as storage and retrieval of jobs
- Monitor the overall printing process
- Troubleshoot production issues that may arise
- Must maintain and keep press in top operational condition
- Responsible for the crew assigned to assist with the workload
- Responsible for training personnel on the press
- Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area
- Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Work overtime as required
- Meet and exceed production standards and maintaining customer quality requirements
- Communicate job status and production concerns/issues during shift change
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Communicate with Supervisor on any problems on the production machine
- Continue learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production
- Facilitate teamwork among team members and between shifts
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work with urgency when equipment is down to maintain production requirements
- Use of a pallet jack to move finished pallets of mail
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- UV offset and web press experience required
- Experience in manufacturing required
- Strong mechanical aptitude preferred
- Good Communication Skills over different platforms.
- Time Management
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Able to lift and move 30-80 pounds or more repeatedly
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Ability to apply written and verbal instructions for machine set-up
- Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members
- Must demonstrate reliability through attendance, punctuality, and ability to stay in work area
- Must be able to foster team cooperation
- Ability to multitask
