Our client, a commercial real estate management company, is seeking a Controller to join their team. The Controller will provide leadership to the accounting team and have full oversight of property accounting and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage property accounting, including accruals and straight line rent accounting
- Implementing robust controls and document processes
- Responsible for operating the Yardi system and enhancing system functionality
- Develop reporting calendar and standard controls, ensuring complete, accurate and timely reporting
- Over see accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Responsible to run the month-end close process and closing checklist
- Produce internal financial reporting package with comments on variances
- Responsible for CAM reconciliations and review
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage accounting staff, ensuring growth and proper training
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Experience in real estate or property accounting required
- Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
