Summary: Under close supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs technical duties related to pharmaceutical care in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsibilities: R epackages and distributes prescriptions; performs compounding of IV, topical and oral medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in an accurate and timely manner. Documents patient and procedural information. Follows proper billing procedures. Restocks bays and all other work areas with medications. Performs inventory checks. Orders medications and supplies. Performs data entry. Follows proper drug and chemical storage procedures according to department guidelines. Maintains and cleans pharmaceutical equipment. Receives and triages phone calls from patients and healthcare providers. Provides backup front desk customer service. Adheres to the regulatory and practice standards of pharmaceutical care.
