Job Summary and Qualifications

The Echo Cardiographer (Cardiac Sonographer) is an integral part of the Cardiopulmonary team. We pride ourselves in knowing that our employees are compassionate, kind and deliver high quality, patient centered care. In this role:

  • You will perform a variety of cardiac ultrasound procedures at a technical level that does not require direct supervision.
  • You will perform exams as requested by ordering physicians and under the guidelines set by the standards of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
  • You will perform two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings for diagnosis of cardiac disease.
  • You will perform all assigned duties by the Echocardiography Supervisor, Assistant Director or Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Vocational School Graduate
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
