About us

Alaska Resources & Environmental Services is an environmental consulting firm located in Fairbanks, Alaska and provides a wide range of environmental services to Federal, State, and local entities as well as private parties.

Title: Environmental Technician

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Natural Sciences, Geology, or other related field. Previous experience in fieldwork desired.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Job duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: collecting and handling soil/water/groundwater samples, assisting with site characterizations, site monitoring, and remediation activities; communicating between clients and regulators. Must be able to lift 40 pounds, stand and/or walk for 10 hours a day, work outdoors in all weather conditions, pass a background check for military base access, and possess a valid driver's license. Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, and travel occasionally. Must have own transportation. This position has both full-time and seasonal (April – September) openings currently available.

Must currently possess OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or valid refresher) or be able to obtain certification prior to employment.

Compensation: Compensation depends on experience (D.O.E.)
