We're in search of a Power Plant Operator Administrator who is ready to embark on a remarkable journey, is dependable, knowledgeable in both the operation and maintenance of power plants and in employment laws and overseeing individuals, resourceful, and enjoys building relationships.
Alaska Village Electric Cooperative (AVEC) stands as a unique electric generation and distribution cooperative, serving 59 communities across Alaska.
As a Power Plant Administrator (PPO Administrator) at AVEC you will coordinate scheduling and job tasks for a workforce of part-time employees.
The PPO Administrator is the primary point of contact and communication for all the Power Plant Operators and is responsible for tracking employment records, timecards, village labor records, processing payment requests, and requisitioning materials.
You will support the Plant Operators by directing technical calls appropriately and scheduling initial and continuing training.
As the PPO Administrator, you will be working with 130 Power Plant Operators, of which 40% are managed directly by AVEC and 60% are coordinated through local community management.
There is much value to maintaining good relations with all operators and with village councils and building their understanding and confidence in AVEC's value, mission and goals.
The Power Plant Operator Administrator position will require some travel. While traveling with AVEC, you will get to enjoy meeting Operators in person will get to see parts of Alaska that most Alaskans don't even get to see.
Qualifications :
Rewards : Pay and benefits include pay starting between $35.71 to $42.43 per hour and is dependent upon experience. 401K with employer match, Retirement Pension Plan (Defined Benefit, Employer paid pension).
Paid leave starting at 21 days per year. We also offer 8 paid Holidays plus 2 Floating Holidays and a Birthday.
