Your day-to-day will involve helping students, staff, and faculty from across the UA system diagnose and troubleshoot technology issues. **Duties:**

100 - Answer phones, assist walk in customers, and troubleshoot university or student owned computers - Collaborate with OIT Customer Support Services staff to assist with technology support tasks - Learn about all major consumer operating systems - Learn how to identify and remove malware - Learn how to identify, repair, and upgrade technology hardware - Provide technology purchase recommendations - Work on various projects as requested including Smart Classroom Technology builds - Deliver paper and toner to various university departments as needed Essential **Starting Salary: $15.00/hr**

Applicant Instructions

This is a part-time offering up to 20 hours/week while school is in session, additional hours available during summer/winter breaks. Student Assistant C positions pay $15.00/hr.

Working from home is permitted as part of the university response to COVID-19.

Interviews will be held remotely through video conferencing as part of the university response to COVID-19.

Education and/or training required for this position (including licenses)

High School diploma or equivalent. Experience sufficient to be able to learn skills in information systems technology and customer service. Valid drivers license preferred. Prior experience is desired but not required (OIT is willing to invest in training and career development).

Type and length of experience required for this position

Required: UA student enrolled in the minimum of 6 credit hours;

*Preferred: Customer service, technical aptitude*

Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position

- Customer oriented and friendly individual who can deal with occasional stressful situations

- Basic understanding of technology and major desktop and mobile operating systems

- Interested and willing to learn about technology
