Department/Unit: Patient Billing Service Work Shift: Per Diem (United States of America) The staff support clerk is responsible for specific assigned clerical tasks, in addition to working with others to accomplish the department goals Salary Range: $18.00 - $23.00 Job Description
Daily completion of opening and sorting mail for the entire department
Fax or mail itemized bill request
Notate and scan authorization correspondence
Scan multiple patient correspondence
Filling supply request from staff
Organize storage rooms
Order supplies as needed
Keep inventory of supplies
Keep printers loaded with paper
Assist in special projects as needed
Work overtime as required Minimum Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent plus at least 2 years applicable experience, or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree with 1-year applicable experience or combination of some college and 1-year experience
Working knowledge of computer-based application and strong PC/keyboard skills.
Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to use sound judgment in decision making.
Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated time management skills.
Ability to handle high workload volume.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
