What you will be doing
Albertson’s Companies is looking for someone who is interested in re-imagining the grocery experience by harnessing the power of digital technologies to optimize how we reach our customers. The Senior Audience Insights Analyst will work closely with Client Success, Media Planning, and Measurement Analytics, to derive targeting/audience strategies by leveraging first party customer data and shopper insights. The position will be fully remote.
Main responsibilities
  • The key responsibility of this role is facilitating insights driven audience targeting recommendations that align with CPG media briefs for respective media campaigns. This would include all aspects of audience targeting - creating, deploying, and working through optimization changes of target audiences to meet or exceed assigned KPI/business goals for campaign.
  • Experience with hands-on implementation & use of emerging customer-centric technologies and capabilities which includes 1st party / 2nd party / 3rd party data systems (e.g., LiveRamp, Symphony Retail, and Tableau), all built on a strong customer-first mindset.
  • Represent the voice of the customer, providing customer and market insights and competitive analysis on ad-hoc basis.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaign briefs and client requests at one time with attention to detail and resulting in quality deliverables back to cross functionals and clients.
  • The target audiences will be derived from using 1P customer data so a strong understanding of insights and benchmarks will be critical.
  • Experience using Excel and PPT to complete Quarterly Business Reviews and Annual Plans analyses for CPGs.
  • Strong understanding of analyzing multiple data points around shopper metrics, campaign performance learnings to derive insights and future recommendations.
  • Ability to confidently present insights and recommendations back to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross functionally as the role will entail heavy cross functional work with Media, Sales, and Measurement Analytics on all media briefs.
  • Analyze campaign benchmarks and continually update team on trends impacting audience reach in the changing digital landscape.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer centric focus, utilizing data-driven techniques to drive business optimization and performance.
  • Helps with documenting processes and trains Analysts and new members on the Audience team.
The salary range is $82,000 to $107,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility.

What we are searching for
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience within ecom/retail, preferably grocery, e-commerce, or CPG
  • 3 years of direct experience in digital media operations and execution in ad technology including Ad Serving, Media Platforms, LiveRamp and/or relevant digital media tools
  • Experience working with a large media, analytics, market research agency a plus.
  • A passion for audience, 1P data, and shopper insights to tell a compelling consumer centric story. Working knowledge of 2P and 3P data.
  • Experience working with industry data around customer metrics (units/household, penetration, baskets/household), market share and trends (e.g., Symphony, IRI/Circana, Nielsen, Mintel, etc.).
  • Direct experience in MarTech / AdTech tools (e.g., data onboarding, ESP, Google, Facebook) is preferred
  • Ability to critically think, analyze, and support business relationships, influence and collaborate across all levels in a high paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Strong balance of analytical as well as communication and presentation skills.
