The Supply Chain Department has an opening for a Transportation Clerk. This position is in Tracy, California.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Perform a variety of general clerical duties within the department such as data entry, light typing, and maintain/ update files as needed. Data entry duties include reports on production, adjustment memos, inventory and data entry for other departments as needed. Maintain appropriate flow, monitor employees, and ensure production is running smoothly. Trouble shooting any machine issues in a timely manner. Communicating any issues with Dematic and upper management. Assign work based on classification, monitor labor throughout the shift; up to 12 employees per shift.

Check receivers against quantities ordered, verify items and quantities on pallets. Verify receiving information on a database, report any discrepancies to the receiving supervisor. 

Work with buying staff to resolve receiving problems (short receivers, improper UPC, invalid Purchase Orders, etc.). Print inventory cycle count sheets and input inventory. Research any problematic items, perform audits, SOX counts.

 . 

Complete rush orders as needed each day including item number and slot number for order selectors. Cross train with other warehouse functions as needed, such as inventory control and physical inventory cycle counts. 

Create/ update and maintain detailed documents, charts and spreadsheets to sort company information.

Other Duties as Assigned 

SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Previous office/warehouse experience helpful. Possess a basic understanding of office procedures and practices. 

Possess ability to work with minimum supervision, good organizational skills, and attention to detail. 

Possess good math skills, keyboarding, and 10-key calculator skills. The position requires the use of calculators, telephones, and other office equipment. Prior experience with on-line EXE and EMS computer environment helpful. Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel software preferred. Prior experience with personal computer applications required. 

Possess good oral and written communication skills, both with co-workers and over the telephone with outside and Company. 

Work is performed in warehouse conditions with temperature levels ranging from warm to cold. Incumbents will spend most of the workday sitting at a desk or computer terminal. 

Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs. Comfortable with moving around in heights, and constantly moving from upper to lower levels of the warehouse.

The salary range for this position is $21.50 per hour - (Union Scaled). Starting rates will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
