Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Loss Prevention Officer. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and customers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in law enforcement or security to utilize their skills in a dynamic retail environment.
Duties:
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect any suspicious activity
- Monitor CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment to identify potential security threats
- Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, including theft, accidents, or medical emergencies
- Investigate incidents of theft or fraud, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports
- Collaborate with store management and law enforcement agencies to resolve security-related issues
- Implement loss prevention strategies and procedures to minimize the risk of theft or loss
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and addressing any security concerns
- Conduct employee training on loss prevention techniques and best practices
Requirements:
- Proven experience in loss prevention, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques, CCTV systems, and surveillance equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and interacting with stakeholders
- Ability to handle conflict situations calmly and professionally
- Basic understanding of criminal investigation procedures
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
