Your Valued Contributions:Directs the public relations and marketing efforts for the Health Center for strategic sustainability and growth. Educates the health care community and general public regarding the full spectrum of Alcona Health Center services.
  • Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of the Organization’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program representative of the organization’s strategic direction internally and externally.
  • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all Organization publications.
  • Serves as the public relations representative coordinating with area media organizations for events, announcements, and other regular promotion in coordination with the CEO.
  • Develop and distribute all print and electronic branded materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, signage etc. Collaboratively develop and oversee promotion of programs: offer technical assistance and resource materials to assist staff in the marketing, communications and positioning of their activities.
  • Provide counsel to staff on marketing, communications and public relations.
  • Ensure that the Organization regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinate and oversee this activity. Monitor trends.
  • Responsible for overall management and content of the AHC and Children’s Advocacy Center websites.
  • Develop and manage all external promotional content including digital signs, external website content for AHC and Children’s Advocacy Center, lobby TV systems, Google locations, and review, and social media efforts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and more, including publishing, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Promotes new providers in collaboration with the Director of Provider Relations.
  • Assists Human Resources Director with targeted recruitment ads for specific positions as needed.
  • Responsible for all administrative functions of the Community Outreach and Marketing department.
  • Responsible for development of an annual marketing budget in coordination with CFO Responsible for timely submission of departmental invoices and budget monitoring.
  • Responsible for securing advertising contracts with vendors.
  • Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations, not-for-profit management and governance, and the specific business of the Organization and use this information to help the Organization operate with initiative and innovation.
  • Provides overall management of the Community Outreach and Marketing department.
  • Responsible for the direct management of departmental staff including the Community Engagement Specialist
  • Delegate departmental duties and responsibilities to necessary parties; participates in high priority special projects and activities.
  • Represents the department at all required meetings and conducts departmental meetings.
  • Monitors departmental performance using company performance standards and addresses issues as needed.
  • Attend trainings, workshops and other relevant professional development events approved by the Administrative Projects Director and/or Chief Executive Officer.
  • Collect data, prepare reports, compile and analyze statistics as required by the Federal Government.
  • Deliver presentations to community groups, attend health fairs and general information to the communities.
  • Organizes collaborative health education initiatives and advocacy.
  • Participates in health-related collaborative efforts with area agencies and within the organization. Advocates for health education outreach and care services with government and local agencies. Provides advocacy to educate elected officials, local agencies and the public on Federally Qualified Health Centers, AHC services and locations.
Required Training & Experience:Ability to use Word and Excel.
Use of appropriate software to develop advertisements, posters, brochures, newsletters, signs, etc.
Thorough understanding of major social media platforms in a page administrator capacity.
Develop/maintain and troubleshoot websites, perform backups for websites, and work with appropriate vendors when assistance is needed.
Possesses the ability to secure transportation to allow for reliable and timely work attendance, including when business is required to be conducted at sites other than your primary worksite.
