Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Alden Hebron District 19. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to PreK-5 students, facilitating their communication abilities, and helping them achieve their fullest potential.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address specific speech or language deficits.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate speech therapy with educational objectives.
• Provide training and support to family members and educators on overseeing speech therapy exercises and strategies at home and in school.
• Maintain detailed records of students’ therapy sessions and progress, adapting plans to meet each child’s evolving needs.
• Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, contributing to developing educational plans for students with speech or language impairments.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP).
• Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of speech-related conditions and effective interventions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to engage students and work effectively with colleagues and parents.
