Summary

As a Server at the Hook & Fork, you'll serve up seafood and other Northwest eats amidst the stunning backdrop of the Olympic mountains along the scenic Hood Canal. You'll provide attentive counter and table service, take and deliver food and beverage orders and play a key part in creating a delightful dining experience that complements the natural beauty of a unique waterfront setting!

• Offer a warm welcome and attentive service, making every guest feel at home.
• Handle food and beverage orders using our POS system.
• Deliver meals directly from the kitchen.
• Engage with guests to guarantee satisfaction, swiftly addressing requests.
• Collaborate with the team to support service.
• Invite guests to return, fostering a memorable and fond connection to Hook & Fork.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Physical Demands. This role demands clear communication and the stamina to stand and move for long periods. Tasks range from walking and stair climbing to manual handling and various movements such as stooping and crouching. Employees may need to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and frequently manage up to 30 pounds, alongside needing good near and far vision and the ability to concentrate over time.
• Work Environment. Primarily a covered outdoor role, this position faces the elements, experiencing both heat and cold in an uncontrolled setting. Expect temperature fluctuations, moderate noise, and exposure to certain chemicals, with safety measures in place for handling.

Qualifications

• 2 years' prior Server experience required
• Thursday through Monday availability is required
• Server experience in an outdoor setting is a plus
• Equivalent education, skills, and/or experience necessary to perform the essential functions may be considered

Permits & Certifications

• WA Food Worker Card required within 14 days after hire
• WA Class 12/13 (MAST) Permit required within 60 days after hire

Pay, Hours & Status

• Pay | $18.28 ~ $21.28 ($16.28 to $16.28/hr base plus tips average)
• Hours |Part-Time (up to 30 hours)and Full-Time (30 hours) available
• Status | Seasonal (Summer, 2024)
