Shift: Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM)

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for the night shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and delivery, providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns during childbirth. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor fetal and maternal well-being, identifying and addressing any complications promptly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and maintain detailed medical records.
- Education: Educate patients and their families about the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Emergency Response: Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide critical care when necessary.
- Adherence to Protocols: Follow hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with relevant experience.
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Skills:
- Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- MA RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP and fetal monitoring certification
