Headquartered in Lincoln Nebraska, AKRS is one of the nations’ largest John Deere Dealerships providing unmatched service support and machinery to farmers, ranchers, Landowners, local governments and contractors. With critical operations throughout the state, AKRS is a preferred and strategic John Deere dealer group (https://www.deere.com ) with deep roots in in the mid-west and is the nation’s largest combine dealership selling on average over 700 combines each year. Due to continued market expansion, we are seeking a critical Store Manager to add to their team in Crete Nebraska.

What You Will Do:

Working in partnership with the regional management team, you will have responsibilities for providing location leadership and will assume accountability for departments working together to achieve location goals. The Store Manager promotes customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and the achievement of location performance metrics. In addition, you will be responsible for direct sales of a quality product.

This is a “boots on the ground” leadership position that will see you perform duties that affect business operations to a substantial degree and involves decision-making that could commit the Company to matters having significant financial impact. The successful candidate in this challenging role will possess a demonstrated commitment to personal accountability and attention to detail.

The Nuts and Bolts of The Job:

To provide timely leadership and development of the team/customer management for an ever-expanding footprint in market – which will see your responsibilities vary from people management to technical solution provision, P&L responsibility, and ultimately bottom-line contribution.

You will:

  • In conjunction with district and function management, execute on annual budgets and business plans for the location, leading the location to achieve the established goals and objectives
  • Sell machinery to customers in a defined sales area
  • Develop, coach and lead location and department managers, and sales staff at assigned store leveraging the functional management team for support
  • Assume responsibility for Deere Performance Metrics at assigned store
  • Ensure the successful implementation and delivery of precision farming, data management, and agronomic services and solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and proactively address any areas of concern
  • Responsible for day-to-day accountability of employees and for the overall morale of the location; maintain open lines of communication with all employees
  • Coordinate attendance at community events: maintain local visibility and positive public relations

What You Bring to The Party:

  • 5 years of experience in sales or operations management
  • Experience with John Deere and competitive products
  • Ability to professionally lead and motivate others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Internet Functions
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred
