Description

Acara Solutions in both The Bronx and Westchester counties is seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician with Porter duties. This is a DIRECT HIRE role with benefits working within a Federal Building. Our client, a Real Estate Developer, is engaged in the acquisition, development, and management of professional offices including Medical & Research laboratories.

Candidates for this role will go through a Federal background check.

What you'll do:

Perform light maintenance and repairs on building systems.
Provide excellent customer service to building residents.
Conduct regular inspections of the building and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
Operate equipment like floor buffers and carpet extractors for deep cleaning.
Manage snow removal and ensure safe, clear walkways and entrances.
Maintain landscaping, including mowing, trimming, and debris removal.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services.
Keep records of maintenance activities and supplies.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll get:

Starting Pay: $20-$22/hr. DOE.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm unless building closes early.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Must have at least 1 -years' experience as a janitor, cleaner, porter, or related field

Must have at least 6-months experience operating floor buffers and carpet extractors

Must have at least 6-months experience working with cleaning chemicals.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Bronx location is preferred

Excellent time management skills and work ethic needed

Light maintenance knowledge is a plus

Must be able to work with light supervision

Lifting to 50lbs.

Standing for entire shift
