DescriptionUnder general direction of the Executive Director, develops and evaluates the nursing program. Is ac countable for administrative and clinical supervision of professional nurses involved in direct nursing care of clients. Develops and implements health and wellness programs. Develops and communicates service delivery plans to ensure quality healthcare. Develops and achieves an annual budget. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations and audit related information. Ensures that staff receive and maintain required and appropriate training. Plans, coordinates and prioritizes the daily work of the RN staff to promote reliable, consistent and risk oriented care. Develops policies and procedures and ensures compliance with AYN procedures as well as state, Medicaid and Joint Commission regulatory standards.

Nursing Diploma, AAS Nursing or Bachelors of Science in Nursing required, unencumbered RN license, a minimum 4 years employed as a RN in a Mental Health setting and 2 years of RN Supervisory experience,
Specific Skills, Knowledge And Abilities RequiredKnowledge of principles and practices of nursing; strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills, ability to develop therapeutic relationships with pediatric clients and family members, supervisory ability, knowledge of JCAHO and other accreditation regulations
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid NC or SC Driver’s License, Unencumbered NC RN License or reciprocal;
PHYSICAL DEMANDS- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to variable lighting situations and weather conditions as RN services are provided 24hr a day, both indoors and outdoors on the PRTF campus, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
