The Accounting Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organization. This position involves performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions and reporting.
Responsibilities:Assist with managing assigned subledgers, such as Credit Cards, bank accounts, AP. Billing, A/R, Fixed Assets etc. using accounting software and other 3rd party programs. Assist with establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors. Ensure all accounting entries are entered and are paid or handled in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with special projects as necessary. Processing invoices for payments. Processing checks for payments when necessary. Analyze and post all credit card transactions accordingly. Analyze and post all bank transactions accordingly.
Performance Metrics/KPIs
Accurate and timely payments of all vendor invoices, credit cards, etc.
Friendly customer service with all internal and external encounters.
Decision Rights
Conforming to established SOPs.
Advise management of any discrepancies or exceptions in a timely manner.

Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 3-5 years of similar sub-ledger experience. Detail oriented. Experience with accounting software. Thorough knowledge of accounts payable and account reconciliation. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle internal & external interactions in a professional manner. Bi-Lingual (English & Spanish).
