POSITION: Speech Language Pathologist
POST DATE: July 20, 2024
CONTRACT START DATE: August 5, 2024
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Provide speech, hearing, and language services as indicated by student's I.E.P.
• Participate in developing the I.E.P. for all special education students.
• Conduct needed speech, hearing, and language testing to determine student's placement.
• Complete reports to parents required by building Principal and/or the Director of Exceptional Learners.
• Participate in the case conference/annual case review when requested.
• Attend scheduled or called staff meetings.
• Serve as a "resource" to regular classroom teachers.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Indiana teacher's license with proper Special Education/Speech Pathology certification.
• Quality preparation and/or experiences in teaching Special Education/Speech Pathology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• An exemplary role model in attitude, work ethic, communication, and toward professional development.
PREFERRED:
• Indiana License in Speech Pathology.
• Previous experience with Professional Learning Communities.
• Teaching and learning in a 1:1 Technology Environment (iPads)
