Job Description:

We're currently seeking a Vineyard Irrigator who has the ability to manage, maintain, organize, and oversee our irrigation system in our winery vineyard.

This person will operate and maintain all forms of Irrigation Systems, including drip, macro, and micro-sprinklers. The duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Check for leaks and maintains and repairs sprinklers before frost.
• Maintain irrigation systems (filters, sprinklers heads, drip systems, etc.)
• Assist with irrigation systems repairs (uncovering problems)
• Assist with fertilizer injection and applications.
• Must follow all the company's safety rules and regulations at all times.
• Directly perform the duty of repairing all systems
• Will be responsible for the correct utilization of all pumps/filters/injectors
• Responsible for the maintenance of all irrigation equipment
• Is responsible for providing a safe and clean working environment and workstation which includes pumps, reservoirs, filters, wells, etc.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision
• Operates pumps and perform all levels of maintenance
• Troubleshoot and identifies what the specific parts are needed for repair
• Reading maps and identifying material needed for new system installation
• Pressure bomb reading
• Responsible for keeping all records for all tasks performed by their department
• Computer inputting for all records
• Fabricate parts and equipment as needed
• Communicate with multiple people; prioritize among multiple ongoing operations
• Always remain alert to any environmental conditions.
• Maintain and understanding and proper use of all personal protective equipment.
• Long hours at times; flexible attitude towards the busy season
• Undertake duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy physical labor is necessary
• Able to lift and move 60 pounds
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to work in confined spaces
• Day or night shift, up to 60 hours a week
• Must be willing to travel

Qualifications:

• 2 years minimum proven experience as an irrigation Professional
• Ability to safely use common power and hand tools
• Honest and hard-working
• Willingness to communicate across cultures in a multi-lingual environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid WA driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.28 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
