Job Summary

As an Application Systems Specialist I, you will play a vital role in tracking and monitoring production systems and environments for issue identification and prevention. You will be a part of our dynamic Application Administration team where you will apply your expertise in researching, troubleshooting, and reporting system issues.
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration, monitoring, and support of multiple complex, enterprise-wide IT systems.
  • Analyze software application issues and determine the most effective course of action to improve operational functionality of the system.
  • Strong working knowledge of infrastructure systems (servers, databases, etc.) as the admin team frequently works with the server environment and troubleshoots difficult issues within the application, involving these systems.
  • Must take a broad, cross-departmental view of the organization, understand transit, processes and procedures to leverage system capabilities and promote effective use of the enterprise applications to meet organization goals and needs. This would include all production and test environments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or 4 years of equivalent experience in an IT-related field, or a combination of the two.
  • One year of experience in supporting and maintaining enterprise level applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Must have a basic working knowledge of IT infrastructure components, such as server, network, database, etc.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills in troubleshooting application issues and problem resolution in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and active listening skills required.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating system and standard Windows applications.
After the initial training period, this position will allow for remote work in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia. This position requires that the incumbent be on-call for afterhours support and code changes on rotation that includes nights, weekends, and possibly holidays.
