**About the job**

Our Richmond Service Center is adding a brand-new Shipping/Receiving associate to our lineup, and wed like to hear from you. In this role, you will provide your picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control skills to your team. Base pay starts at $17.50 per hour or more, and this is a day shift role.

As a part of the team, you will:

* Be responsible for shipping, receiving, distribution of Alfa Laval and customer equipment.

* Take and store photos of incoming and outgoing shipments.

* Unpack and repack received components in cardboard or wood containers.

* Maintain databases of job/parts storage and Movement Logs.

* Inventory received parts with correct jobs.

* Pick up and/or deliver customer equipment or parts going to vendors.

* Drive flatbed truck to pick up/ deliver loads to / from customer and suppliers; must properly secure the loads to the flatbed.

* Be responsible for inventory control; maintain inventory of machinery and equipment and participate in physical inventories.

* Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain related records.

* Plan, assemble, disassemble, fabricate or repair crates, boxes, cartons, pallets and other packaging containers of large or unusual size and shape, wrap, protect and pack machinery, equipment or other items for shipment domestically and internationally.

* Operate lift truck or other related equipment, transfer equipment to and from warehouses.

* Rig and lift large/heavy items, and train to use straps, large crane hoists and other lifting equipment.

* Provide security and effective control of customer and Alfa Laval equipment, shop support, and movement of materials or equipment as required inside shop.

* Actively participate in ALPS meetings.

**What you know**

You have a valid drivers license, high school diploma or GED, and:

* The ability to effectively communicate in the English language.

* Strong computer skills

* Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse experience.

* An ability to lift up to 60 pounds

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Candidates interested in company-sponsored GED program will be considered.
