Job Overview:

The Director of Operations at Algiere Construction Services, Inc. is a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing all operational facets, including Design, Purchasing, and Construction. This position works closely with the Executive team to align and execute key strategies and initiatives. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader with a proven track record in construction management and operational strategy. As the Director of Operations, you will be essential in driving operational excellence across all phases of the project lifecycle and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership will be vital in unifying various departmental efforts, enhancing client satisfaction, and ensuring the long-term success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, Implementing, and Tracking KPIs: Establish and monitor measurable performance metrics across all operational functions to efficiently meet business objectives. This includes regularly reviewing and adjusting KPIs to align with changing business strategies and market conditions.
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Implement strategies and practices that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of all operational processes.
  • Drive Organizational Success: Contribute to execution that supports the long-term growth and profitability of the company.
  • Oversee Project Execution: Direct and coordinate the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they meet agreed timelines, budgets, and specifications.
  • Maintain High Standards of Quality and Safety: Enforce rigorous quality control measures and safety protocols to uphold high standards across all construction sites and projects.
  • Project Management Oversight: Ensure projects are executed efficiently from initiation to completion, maintaining adherence to time, budget, and quality standards.
  • Financial Management: Control budgets and financial planning for projects to optimize profitability while maintaining quality and safety.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering potential for repeat business.
  • Enhance Client Satisfaction: Actively work to improve client relationships and satisfaction through timely project delivery and responsive service.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage the effective distribution of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, and maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with industry regulations and manage necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field required; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, LEED) preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction principles, practices, and techniques, including project management methodologies, construction methods, and building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify trends and opportunities, and develop and implement effective solutions and initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and performance management.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and integrity in construction operations, with a focus on delivering projects that exceed client expectations and meet industry standards and best practices.
