Machine Learning Researcher

We are partnered with a global hedge fund, with an active hiring mandate for ML Researchers. This opportunity involves architecting state-of-the-art ML solutions, generating novel algorithmic architecture and applying the latest deep learning techniques to quantitative trade research. Joining a group of highly collaborative team working directly with industry leading Traders and Quant Researchers translating your ideas and coded models into trades.

Responsibilities:

• Have access to large data sets and industry-leading computing tools to apply and build ML models from the ground up, utilizing new and established techniques and methods like neural networks, reinforcement learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
• Remain connected to the broader research community, staying on top of the latest research and publications and discussing potential applications across various very academically centred software and research teams.
• Have end-to-end ownership of the research and development process from idea generation, development of prototype and proof of concept solutions, running experiments, developing techniques and writing high-quality code to support the research output.

Requirements:

• PhD or masters in machine learning, computer science or related field.
• Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications.
• Strong programming skills and experience working with Python and Pandas, Numpy, scikit-learn or other standard ML and deep learning libraries
• Familiar with commonly used machine learning algorithms and experience in using at least one deep learning framework.
